NRS 1" Wide Buckle Straps
These are probably the best buckle straps available for water-sports and boating activities such as river drift fishing, whitewater and working watercraft. They have a million uses and provide that extra sense of security knowing that all your valuable gear is well secured - with straps that are easy to use - even with cold fingers - that have tremendous holding strength and just refuse to wear out. I still have NRS straps that I purchased back in the 80's in my gear bag that I use on every trip.
Whether you're attaching your boat to your vehicle or trailer, your coolers to your lower deck or your gear bags to your upper decks, you can never have too many straps. The 1 inch, high-tenacity, polypropylene webbing is rated to 1500 lbs. The aluminum buckle is rated to greater than 2000 lbs. tensile strength.
If you're setting up your first river boat I'd suggest setting aside at least $75 for an assortment of these straps because you'll be really glad you have them when you need them. I generally would try to have about 30% of the 4 ft, 60% of the 6 ft and 10% of the 12 ft in my bag - or something like that.
Note that we try to maintain stock for the most common sizes (2, 4, 6, 9 and 12 feet as shown in the price list) but we can get any of the lengths shown.
