NRS Blast 12VDC Air Pump

NRS Blast 12VDC Electric Air Pump

If you'll be inflating and deflating your tubes frequently, as many catarafters do, a 12VDC pump saves a lot of time. An electric air pump doesn't actually inflate the tubes that much faster than you can do it by hand. But, it does allow you to spend that time getting the rest of your gear together, assembling the frame, etc. - while the air is filling your tubes. Also, filling the tubes with any manual air pump takes quite a bit of physical effort. This electric pump will save that effort and time.

Finally, when you deflate the tubes you can reverse this pump to suck the last bit of air out - which allows you to roll up the deflated tubes into a smaller space for transport.

Its compact size and rugged durability will last for years.

Note that gas stations provide low volume, high pressure air. Inflatable boats require high volume, low pressure air, usually only 2 to 2.5 psi. After filling your tubes with this pump you will need to top off the pressure with a few strokes from your manual, on-board pump.

Note also that there is a Leefield valve adapter included in the maintenance kit when you order a cataraft (or cataraft tubes). We include an additional adapter with this pump so you'll have a backup. Tell us when you order if you don't need the adapter and we'll deduct $4.00 from the pump price.
